About Me

Originally from Manitoba, my husband and I moved to eastern Ontario in 2009 when our daughter was a student at Quinte Ballet School in Belleville. As a dance mom and seamstress I sewed hundreds of dance costumes over the years and in 2011, I decided to make a living from my creative passions and opened my own business, Fun R We Creations. 

After undergoing back surgery in 2016, I realized I needed to scale back with certain products and services. I have spent the past couple of years focusing on my most popular products like car seat ponchos. During that time, I also began to explore assistive and therapeutic items such as weighted blankets. Our son has a rare genetic disease that causes sudden unprovoked, explosive behaviour and was introduced to a weighted blanket and vest by his occupational therapist. Seeing first hand that these items helped when he chose to use them led me to make him his own weighted blanket and vest and several people suggested I should sell them. 

Fast forward to 2019 and I am excited to relaunch Fun R We Creations with a focus on my ever popular car seat ponchos and the addition of supplies for sewists, crafters and other handmade items like face masks, and minky blankets. Future plans include expanding the line to include weighted products such as blankets, vests, stuffed animals and lap pads.
